Investment

Signed Photos of Stars are a lucrative investment A major reason for purchasing and collecting authentic signed star photos, apart from the pleasure of owning them and seeing them every day, is the investment value they represent.

They are, as billionaire Malcolm Forbes said, still "the most undervalued of all areas of collecting". In the last ten years, the increase in value of attractive rare signed photos or even just the signatures has far exceeded potential gains on the stock market or other investments. For example, a fine signed photo of Princess Diana was worth around GBP 1'000 in 1997 and, on average, GBP 7'000 in 2007; a signed picture of the Beatles can be worth around GBP 20'000 today, up from GBP 4'500 ten years ago. Iconic Film Stars such as Vivien Leigh, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Charlie Chaplin, Grace Kelly or Katherine Hepburn have more than tripled in value. So they are rapidly becoming an extremely financially interesting collectible.

The same is true for Music Stars such as Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Abba. This stupendous increase in value is also true for photos of Sports Stars such as Tiger Woods, Muhammad Ali, Michael Schumacher, Roger Federer, or David Beckham. Signed photos of cast members of popular TV series like Friends, Desperate Housewives, Dynasty, Ally McBeal, or Will and Grace are also rapidly increasing in value.

The better the quality, rarity, charm and placement of the signature(s), the more desirable a photo becomes and the more rapidly its value increases. So now is the perfect time to buy and maybe also start collecting hand-signed star photos!
